The School accepts enrolments for children from Pre-Kindergarten (Three Year Old Kindergarten) to Year 6. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Pre-Primary are not compulsory, and, if there are places in Year 1, they may commence Year 1 in the year they turn 6 (before 30th June). Children may also be admitted to other years where places are available.
Priority is given to active members of St Anthony’s Parish and brothers and sisters of children presently enrolled. If you are interested in enrolling your child at St Anthony’s please phone the school for an application package to be posted to you or download the Kindergarten to Year 6 application form.
The School Board approved the commencement of a Three Year Old Kindergarten in 2012. The Pre-Kindergarten class will take place on a Tuesday from 8.45am to 2.30pm. Interested parents of children who are eligible, that is students that are three or turning three, and have not already registered are asked to contact the school office for an application form or download the Three Year Old Kindergarten application.
The School office will contact you to initiate the enrolment process. Please note that acceptance into our Three Year Old Kindergarten program does not mean automatic entrance into our Four Year Old Kindergarten. You will need to register your child for Kindergarten to Year 6 by filling out a separate application form.
Kindergarten classes operate for three full days each week, for children whose 4th birthday occurs before 30th June. St. Anthony’s provides a developmental four year old program based on the philosophy of the world renowned approach to Early Childhood Education, in Reggio Emilia. We take into consideration the children’s prior experiences and interests and build on their current knowledge and development. The curriculum provides for the children’s progress in the interrelated areas of physical, spiritual, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Kindergarten places much importance on the development of a positive self concept and is committed to bringing to the fore the special gifts and talents of each and every child.
Fees are set annually by the School Board. Details of fees are available here.
